Friends of the Arts is dedicated to improving, and gaining recognition for the terrific arts programs at CHS.
To raise funds we sell concessions and take donations at the fall, winter, and spring music concerts, at the spring musical, and the fabulous Edible Art Show. All proceeds go to support the musical, theatrical, and visual arts at Catonsville High School. March 2022 - Over $5500 for two Wenger Acoustic Shells for the music department and over $400 for a new hard case for the portable piano for Chorus. February 2022 - $1200 for a new clay roller for the Art Department. February 2020 - $1500 for five microphones for the spring musical, which helped make a big difference in the sound quality! May 2019 - Funds for a Wenger Acoustic Shell, which improves sound projection during band and orchestra performances. May 2018 - New ergonomic chairs for the orchestra/band. Our quest for auditorium improvements is ongoing - we would love your help and input! Over 500 students participate in theater and the award-winning music program each year— over a quarter of the school. Our group is dedicated to supporting these students and their families. Help us support arts education, programming, and infrastructure at Catonsville High School by donating to Friends of the Arts. |
