With two sold out performances, Hairspray was a big success. We attribute the success the combination of the different advertising efforts. For the next time the challenge is to start earlier and be more organized.
T-shirts were sold out but there was confusion because the selling was disorganized, and at the end it was not clear who paid for a T-shirt and who was on the list to receive one. Also one students name got left off the back of the shirt.
There was a discussion of having three performances of the musical. Thursday night or a weekend matinee are possibilities Other high schools are doing three or four. This would take buy in from all of the participants. It was sad that we had to turn people away from this years production.
