End of school year update

    Two months has gone by since the last update and there has been a lot of activity concerning the auditorium renovation. The stage crew director, Bryan Burns, solicited a list of what the music and theater faculty want in terms of auditorium sound equipment upgrades. Three BCPS approved vendors came to see the auditorium so they could submit estimates. This information was reviewed at the last CHSFOA meeting and at a meeting with Principal Ames and interested faculty on May 16th. 
    All of the vendors thought that our plan to replace the sound absorptive material in the front of the auditorium was misguided. That project is on hold for now. We will be experimenting with some temporary acoustical treatment next year. We may also be purchasing some acoustical panels for the stage that can direct more sound to the auditorium.
    Also, it looks like we will be going ahead with one of the proposals for upgrading the auditorium sound reinforcement equipment. It will make a big improvement.
