We now have $17,600 available for Auditorium renovations.

Moneys raised by CHS Friends of the Arts  $8600  (in the PTSA bank account)

Here is a brief summary of the auditorium renovations now being planned.
Replacing the front panels $9000
installing acoustical treatment in the rear. $20-25,000

We would love to be able to do both renovations this summer

There are also arts moneys from ticket sales and we will investigate whether they can be used for renovations.

With two sold out performances, Hairspray was a big success. We attribute the success the combination of the different advertising efforts. For the next time the challenge is to start earlier and be more organized.

T-shirts were sold out but there was confusion because the selling was disorganized, and at the end it was not clear who paid for a T-shirt and who was on the list to receive one. Also one students name got left off the back of the shirt.

There was a discussion of having three performances of the musical. Thursday night or a weekend matinee are possibilities Other high schools are doing three or four. This would take buy in from all of the participants. It was sad that we had to turn people away from this years production.

The program was put together last minute and at least one student was left off. There was a discussion about how to get it done earlier and better.

There was a discussion about having a teacher or parent act as a producer for the theater productions. This person would be a logistics person that could coordinate advertising, T-shirts, communications. Having one person direct the production and also be responsible for all of the logistics doesn't seem fair, especially during the last weeks when rehearsals get intense.
